Individual Eligibility and Enrollment for the OPWDD HCBS 1915(c) Waiver and Requests for Service Authorization
This ADM describes how OPWDD establishes HCBS Waiver eligibility including level of care, appropriate residential settings, and New York State residency status. The Guidance further describes how OPWDD evaluates the requirement that a person’s need for HCBS Waiver services is demonstrated through a “Reasonable Indication of Need” evaluation.
eMedNY - Submitting Claims over Two Years Old, Revised
All claims over two years old must be submitted directly to eMedNY within 60 days of the date submission came within control of the provider. Those claims will be automatically denied and a denial message (Edit 01292, Date of Service Two Years Prior to Date Received, or HIPAA reject reason code 29 or 187, the time limit for filing has expired) will appear on the remittance statement or 835 electronic remittance.
